It's Friday!

Hello, again! Another little 2+ week break from the blog. You've come to expect it, haven't you? I can explain...we've been busy! Heath started his MBA classes on the 29th, and he's been spending every waking hour reading, studying or working. I have a feeling these next 2 years are going to fly because we are going to be B-U-S-Y! But that's ok. It will all be worth it in the end!

A few highlights from the past couple of weeks:
My dad came to town to meet the babies. He spent Friday night with Julie and then on Saturday he met us down at the lake for Labor Day Weekend. It was fun and I'm glad he was able to come.

The weather wasn't the greatest, and our jet ski (that we stopped to pick up from being in the shop ALL SUMMER) ended up not working. We did manage to get a last swim in, though. We'll be back down there this month to stain the house for my parents, but I'm not sure it will be swimming weather!

We threw some food across the street and the vultures came to get it. Then, one perched itself on top of the house. I think it was waiting for more. Oops!
We took the kids to the BV Tigers game on Friday night. We got there a little late and didn't get seats, but that's ok because we ran into our friends who were there to see their babysitter cheer!

Brody started flag football! I'm bringing my other lens with to the game this weekend, so I'll post some better pictures next week.

Our friend, Grayson, turned one last week and his mom threw him an awesome "Where the Wild Things Are" party! One of the cutest I've seen. She hand panted this picture prop!!! She did a great job!

That morning Heath's uncle called and asked if we wanted to go the Royal's game. He has season tickets in the Diamond Club, so it was hard to pass them up, even if it was 100 degrees that day!

At least there was air conditioning!

Here's the view from our seats. Awesome!
What else is new??? Madelyn's dance class started back up this week.

And we've been doing homework. Lots of homework. Actually, it's not a lot, but we have activities on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights, so Wednesdays are the only days we can get it done, and it's a lot for one day. In October we'll start religious ed on Wednesday nights. Luckily, football will be over at the end of October. The coach is having 2 practices a week for now, but he said he'll cut back to 1 after these first couple of weeks. I hope so because we need to have time to do the homework that is due every Friday!

Oh! And I forgot one other MAJOR thing...Heath's car is totaled :( He got hit in the parking lot at work. The guy was going fast enough to push Heath's care a whole parking spot over and damage the frame of the car. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it was a bad accident for a parking lot accident! The guy was going too fast and not paying attention. He never even hit his brakes. Heath was pulled all the way out of his spot, so luckily he didn't hit any other cars! Hoping we can get the other guy's insurance to cover it, but right now it's on ours. Waiting to see what will happen with that (and how much they'll give us for Heath's car). I feel so bad because he took such good care of that car, and I know that we won't find anything with the low miles and in the same condition. It's also kind of sad because (and I realize this sounds silly) that was the first car he bought and we weren't emotionally ready to get rid of it. So, if you know of anyone selling a car, let us know! We're looking for a deal, and we're paying cash!

We have a fun weekend planned! Tonight, Heath and I are going to the "soft opening" of our friend's new restaurant! District. It's in Waldo and we're so excited for our friend Dan to be able to live out this dream! They officially open tomorrow, so if you live in Kansas City make sure you get over there to check it out!

Then tomorrow we have a football game and then on Sunday we are going to the circus! We're going with Heath's family, and I am so excited! I have wanted to take the kids for a long time, and I'm so glad we're finally able to go!

Happy weekend to everyone!
