The sweetest thing

So, the sweetest thing happened the other night. Madelyn and Brody got to hold Max & Macie! They were so excited. They had waited so patiently to spend some time with their new baby cousins. They got to meet them (well, see them without a window in between) two weeks ago before we went to the zoo. Julie brought the babies outside when we picked my mom up, so they got to see them up close, but no touching or holding at that point.

They both went into the night thinking they would be changing diapers, playing with them on the floor, etc. They quickly realized that Max and Macie are very small and aren't really ready to play like they had hoped. They'll be big enough soon. Too soon, I'm afraid!

Another fun thing...Uncle Heath got to hold them! Well, Max. He didn't end up holding Macie yet. I have been really selfish and have only gone to their house by myself to this point...I don't think he cared too much!
