I've tried a few different workout plans over the past couple of years, and I haven't been hard enough on myself to see the results that I see from Jazzercise. Running didn't work for me, I tried the personal trainer, I tried Jilliam Michaels DVD, I joined the gym for a while, and we even tried P90X. I couldn't stick with anything. I am the type of person that needs the workout to be fun, and I need the accoutnability of someone else telling me what to do. And being a former dancer, Jazzercise is a natural choice for me.
I made the decision after seeing a couple of pictures of myself from the summer of 2009, when I was first pregnant with Madelyn. I couldn't believe how thin I actually was. I guess I never noticed or took advantage of it! My goal is to wear shorts (and be happy with how they look) in our family pictures in May or June. It's so easy to hide behind the winter clothes, and according to the forecast, we won't be wearing them for very much longer!
Here is one of the pics that will serve as my motivation! This is from our summer vacation at Kentucky Lake in 2009. I was just a couple of weeks pregnant with Madelyn. At this time, I was going to Jazzercise almost every morning.
So! Here's to sticking with something! The only downside to this is I'm worried that Madelyn will wake up everytime I leave the house. No matter how quiet I am, she is such a light sleeper that starting the car in the driveway woke her up this morning. Fingers crossed that she gets used to it and doesn't wake Heath up at 5:40 every morning!
Ok, I'm a day late with this, but I want to start to link up with Ashley in hopes that it will hold me accoutnable!

That is really great that you have gone back to Jazzercise! I love it too! After the birth of my third child last year, I recommitted to Weight Watchers and up'd the Jazzercise to 5-6x/week. I love going at 5:30 a.m. and getting it out of the way and not having to bring kids along. Usually my youngest is up when I get home but he just sits in the high chair with Cheerios while my husband eats his breakfast. I think it works great with young kids to go at that time of the morning. Good for you! Hope you keep it up!
