We've had a busy couple of weeks around here with my mom in town and school starting! I thought I'd play a little catch up by dumping the photos off my phone since I had none on my big camera!
| Our new neighbor boy has a 2-wheeled scooter. Brody had been admiring it, so when Heath was at Walmart at the lake, he found one for each of the kids on sale and picked them up. Brody is a natural, and Madelyn isn't too bad either. They just zoom around on these things! |
| My mom had been cooking non-stop at Julie's house, so I suggested we go to Coyote's for dinner at the lake instead of cooking. The kids LOVE to feed the fish there. |
| Before we left for home, we had to go down to the dock to throw some rocks. We contemplated staying, because the weather was so nice, but now that school is back in session, we had stuff to do! |
| My mom really wanted to stop at Lambert's on the way home from the lake. The kids got Chicken and Dumplings, and Brody had no reactions. Eating out is tough, especially during the first stage, but we lucked out both at Coyote's and at Lambert's. |
| Both kids started the school year with some homework! |
| Luckily, they both found it to be fun since it was all about them kind of stuff! They worked so hard on cutting and gluing! |
| Here is Madelyn with her first ever homework assignment! |
| On Saturday before my mom left, she took me and Madelyn out for brunch and to do some shopping. |
| On Sunday night, we went to a birthday party for some of our little friends! It was a cute prince & princess party. |
And that's about all I've got. We're trying to get settled into our new routine. On Thursday we have a crazy day with Back to School Night, Brody's 1st flag football practice and Heath's first night of grad school! If things weren't already busy enough, they are starting to get busier. But, we're getting into my favorite time of the year, so I have nothing to complain about!
