Another weekend post...

I've started to get into the habit of only posting our weekend activities! I guess that's really all I have to share these days. This weekend started off with some homemade cheese pizza and then a trip to Costco and Walmart to pick up the necessities. Then on Saturday morning, Madelyn woke up bright and early at 5:15...we tried to get her to sleep a little longer and she wouldn't have it.

Saturday morning, I went to my good friend/sorority sister/neighbor Jen's baby shower. Ashley put together a great shower. I forgot to get the camera out to get pics of the details, but she had an awesome salad bar set up for lunch. It was so good! She also had a head band making station for baby Sloan. It was so cute and definitely an idea I'm going to steal when I host a baby girl shower! Here is the one pic I did manage to get.

After I left the shower, I headed to do some grocery shopping. We usually all go as a family, but I decided to get it done quickly on my way home. I did a little bit of freezer cooking in the afternoon. I didn't get it all done, so I'll need to get that done throughout the week. I went with the Once a month mom recipes again. I'm doing most of the March Diet menu. So far we've had the Chicken Stir Fry. I had to add some pineapple and green pepper though. I tasted the sauce and thought it was pretty bland, so I threw some of those in and it added a lot.

After dinner we went for a walk. We were going to go up to Quik Trip for some pops, but we saw 2 cars drive by with DQ and remembered that they were having buy one get one for 99 cents and redirected ourselves that way.

Today the weather was so beautiful again! After church, Heath got started on mowing the lawn and I packed a lunch for me and the kids and we headed up to Black Hoof Park in Lenexa. I had heard great things about it from some people in Mothers and More, so I knew we had to check it out...it was awesome! I can't wait to go back with Heath (and a stroller and our fishing poles!).

Madelyn was hot and sweaty...and she wouldn't wear her hair in a ponytail for me!

How pretty is that park in the background?

Climbing just like Bubba.
