Brody's Party!

We had such a great time at Brody's party! I had a hard time deciding what to do for his party. At first I was going to have the whole preschool class over to our house and do a Cars themed party, but after going on the field trip I decided that was crazy of me...I came across the Hayride and Bonfire in the parks and rec catalog and decided to do that. I called and got the last available slot on the 29th! We lucked out!

When we got there they let us know that we could have the bonfire, which was a great because broiling the marshmallows in the oven didn't sound as fun as roasting them!
We took about an hour long hayride through Heritage Park. The weather was great! Most of us didn't even need jackets! After the hayride they dropped us back off at the shelter and we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

Brody's buddy, Ethan from school and his mom and dad joined us for the party. We had a good size group! I don't think we could have squeezed anyone else on the hayride!

After the party, we invited the family back to our house for chili so Brody could open his gifts and blow out his candles. I didn't know what the weather would be like so I thought it would be best to save those activities for the house.
