Over the weekend Heath and I traveled to Phoenix for my friend Kelli's wedding. We had such a great time and being away from the kids wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I had some anxiety leading up to the trip, but it was actually nice to not have to worry about anyone but ourselves. We got of the plane and felt like we forgot something. It felt strange to only carry one bag off the plane!
After we landed on Thursday, we called Melody to see how pick up went with the kids and we had our first (and only) issue. We didn't bother telling his teacher that we would be out of town since our flight left only 20 minutes before his class got out. Apparently, another little boy in Brody's class threw corn meal that they were playing with in his eye. Luckily, they kept calling down our list and got a hold of Melody who was already in the pick up line at school. She called and left a message with our doctor's office and in the meantime she took him to her office and they flushed his eye and everything is fine. Thankfully, this was the only issue they had this weekend.
Kelli had a fun weekend planned for us. On Thursday night we went to a great place called Sandbar. It had sand, a pool (that you couldn't swim in) and cabanas. I loved it!
