Oh my gosh. The other day, Heath's grandparents asked if we'd seen the sunflowers. We thought they were talking about the wild sunflowers that are all over in the ditches on the side of the road. They said oh no, there is a field of sunflowers. We had to get out and see it. I remember when I was in France we drove past a field of sunflowers and it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. I thought it was ironic that I had to go all the way to France to see it even though I'm from the sunflower state!
For you local people, it is at 207th and Mission Road. It's about a square mile of sunflowers. It was awesome! Totally magical. I took a million pictures of Madelyn and I couldn't get a nice smile out of her. Oh well! We weren't the only ones taking advantage of the photo op! There were at least 2 other families that trespassed just like us.
I wish I would have taken my work camera home tonight. I could have used it to get a good pic of Madelyn. My new camera is much faster than my old one, but not fast enough! Maybe for Christmas...oh, wait....
I am going to make a note on my calnedar to check this field again next year. Maybe we'll do our family photos here next year! As far as we know, this is the first time that sunflowers were planted. They'll be harvested soon for their seeds.

What a beautiful field! I love these pictures
That is the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. I wish I could see it in person. Absolutely beautiful. Your photos are fantastic too. I love the one of your little girl with the side view pointing at the flower and the sun shining in her hair. Thanks for sharing. Jana http://www/adoctorandanurse.com

The last shot is great!
So beautiful! I remember visiting my grandma in North Dakota during the summer and there were fields just like that.
