Random stuff from Saturday

We took it pretty easy on Saturday. It was nice to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Heath's mom and dad kept the kids for us on Friday night, so they met us at Brody's swimming lessons on Saturday morning. Brody is really mastering his swimming! Last week, he swam without the bubble! This week they left it on the whole time, but he is getting really good at recovering after being on his stomach. I'm really excited to get in the pool with him this summer. We're thinking about getting a season pass to the Louisburg pool this summer because it is less crowded and they have a great zero-entry area. He has an issue with listening at swimming lessons though (surprise, surprise). I think he's realized that he can kind of walk all over the teacher. We've threatened to make him leave, and I am tempted to really follow through next week if he acts up.

After swimming lessons we headed out (again) to look for some shoes for Heath. That's all he wanted for his birthday (of course, I couldn't not get him something, so I got him a small Mike Savage print of Kauffman Stadium). Our trip was unsuccessful and Heath is still looking for new Nikes.

After that we went home for lunch and the kids took naps. After their (very short) naps, we ran out to Walmart and Target and hit up Sonic for Happy Hour! The kids really enjoyed that! We stopped back by the house to kill some time before heading to the Kittle's for Liam's first b-day party!

In the afternoon, we headed over to Sara and Zach's for Liam's 1st birthday party!

Madelyn dressed up for her boyfriend! We were so excited that it was finally warm enough to go sleeveless!

Liam did a great job with his cake! Brody took it upon himself to get a lick, and Liam gladly obliged! Silly boys!

After the party we made a quick stop at the grocery store for the rest of the ingredients for my breakfast casserole and we headed home. Madelyn fell asleep for the first time ever (well, she might have when she was a newborn, but not that we can remember) in the car both on the way to and from the birthday party! We were shocked! Since it was so nice out, and it wasn't quite time for bed, we took a quick walk around the neighborhood. And that was it for our Saturday!
