Friday- Heath's Party

We had such a great weekend! I'll start with Friday...we celebrated Heath's 30th on Friday with our friends. We started with Jalepeno's for dinner and then everyone came back to our house to hang out. It was a lot of fun, and we're so glad so many friends were able to come out and help us celebrate!

I plugged my memory stick into the computer this morning, and I'm kicking myself for the lack of pictures that I took. I didn't take a single posed picture....I will not be sharing any of the pictures because most of them are of people with half-closed eyes or mouths full of food! I need to get better at telling people to smile! So, you will get pictures of the food :)
I made a couple of dips to set out. I made Jalepeno Popper Dip, Salsa, Black Bean Feta Dip and Strawberry Mango Salsa. Everyone really enjoyed them and asked for the recipes....so here you are!

I also made Heath Butterfinger cupcakes! He ALWAYS gets Butterfinger Blizzards at DQ, so I thought these were right up his alley! The cake tastes like banana and the frosting was a peanut butter buttercream...amazing. I borrowed Julie's Kitchen Aid Mixer and I NEED one. Those cupcakes were SO easy! I will probably make them a lot more often once I get my hands on one (hint to Heath...I really like the purple or raspberry colored ones).

Happy 30th Birthday, Heath! You made it to 30 with most of your hair! Congratulations! I never knew that 30 would feel so young! I love you!
