I sort of dropped the ball on Valentine's this year...I didn't pull out any of my decorations, I didn't go buy the kids cute shirts, I didn't send them to daycare with Valentines...I do love Valentine's day, and I'm looking forward to many Valentine's themed birthday parties for our little girl! This year I guess it just snuck up on us! I've been so busy preparing for Madelyn's 1st birthday party that I didn't pay much attention to it! Heath and I have never been big Valentine's day celebrators...I don't expect much, just that I don't have to cook :) I will admit that I bought myself flowers! Aldi's had a half dozen roses for $1.99! I couldn't pass that up!
On Sunday morning, I made heart shaped pancakes before church.
This year, we ordered some heart shaped pizzas from Papa John's! They were fun and I thought Brody would get a kick out of it.
I was going to make some heart shaped sugar cookies, but when we got home, Julie had left us some sugar cookies with buttercream icing from 3 Women and an Oven...OMG. I found myself on a sugar rush! They were so good! Thanks Julie and Billy!
