Maddy Moosky,
I can't believe we are celebrating your 1st birthday! I think it's safe to say that this has been the fastest year of my life! A year ago today, we woke up at 5:00 am to go check in to the hospital to have you! You came so quick that Mommy's doctor didn't make it and the one she sent instead almost didn't make it! We couldn't wait to meet you, and we didn't have to wait long! Ever since that first day, you have been a complete joy. You have always been so happy and just want to be with everyone and know what is going on. One of your favorite places to be is at my feet while I'm in the kitchen. You love your brother so much and always want to do what he's doing. You're not afraid of much! You'll crawl right up to him and you don't worry that he might knock you down (which he does sometimes). You love to hug your baby dolls. It's so sweet! You also love to play your new piano that grandma and grandpa gave you. It's hard to get you to sit still! I have never had more trouble changing a diaper or putting on clothes than I have with you lately!
You say a couple words but your favorite sound to make is "Eh". You say it all the time. When grandma Schilf was here last week, she said she thought she was hanging out with a Canadian baby! I guess it's your way of letting us know that you are still here.
You're eating whatever we're eating. It's amazing what you can do with those 3 teeth! We've been trying to get you to drink whole milk, but you don't really like it. We'll keep trying!
I don't think you'll be walking any time in the near future...and that's ok. I can barely get you to stand on your own. You've started to cruise along things which is a big improvement in the past couple of weeks. A few weeks ago you didn't know how to get down once you were up!
You had your first ear infection about a month ago. It wasn't fun, but you were a trooper! You never ran a fever and you still managed to keep up with your brother! It kept you up a few nights, and you had to sleep with mommy and daddy, but we got through it! At that time you weighed 20.5 lbs. I can't wait to take you to the doctor on Friday to see what you weigh now.
It's hard to remember what life was like before you were born. You are such a happy girl! You are our sunshine, our peanut, our princess and we love you sooooo much!
Happy Birthday baby girl!
Love,
Mommy
Here is a sneak peak from her 1 year photo shoot! I can't wait to see the rest!
