Since my mom is working at the hospital, her schedule doesn't allow her to come over the weekend very often without putting in vacation time. So, since she couldn't make it for Maddy's party this weekend, she came for my birthday! She came on Super Bowl Sunday, so we made some snacks and watched the game at our house. On Monday, Julie was able to take the day off and spend the day with her. Then she watched the kids on Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday night, Julie made spaghetti at her house and Tuesday night for my birthday we went to Joy Wok for dinner...gotta love Chinese buffet! Wednesday night we went to the AMC Fork and Screen to see Black Swan. We had a great time when she was here! Here are some pics of Maddy opening her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa:
On Maddy's actual birthday, we had her open her gifts from us and we got cupcakes from Smallcakes! We gave Maddy a gift that was originally purchased for Christmas, but required too much assembly and too many power tools for Christmas Eve, so it went back to the basement! Brody picked out a book for Maddy at Costco. He got her Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. One of his favorites.
