Maddy's stats!

I almost forgot to blog about Maddy's 1 year well baby check-up!
She weighed in at a whopping 21 lb 6 oz! She gained almost 14 lbs this year, tripling her birth weight! She's in the 50th percentile.
Dr. Espe said she looks great! She got the green light to eat all foods.
I raised a concern about her not clapping. She clapped one time at about 8 months old and I never noticed her do it again. I try every day to get her to, but she never will. I brought it up to him and he asked me if she was feeding herself (yes), passing things from one hand to the other (yes), reaching and picking things up (yes) and he said don't worry about it. He said she'll probably clap at her birthday party. The funny thing is, that very night she clapped while I was changing her diaper! I think she heard me. She does this other thing in place of clapping where she flaps her hands. She looks like she's going to take off!
