What a great birthday! Despite the fact that the temperature hasn't gotten above 9 degrees yet today...it was a good day! It started out this morning opening gifts from Heath and the kids. Each kid got me a new workout outfit and Heath got me a Garmin heart rate monitor! I can't wait to put it to work on Thursday when I resume my workout routine!
Then, I opened my gift from my mom and dad...a Kindle! I'm so excited about it! I hadn't really thought about getting one...and I actually saw a commercial for the Nook yesterday and thought that it might be something I would like. I'm excited to get my first book downloaded! I'm thinking the Pioneer Woman's new book will be my first! I think it might help me to surpass my goal of reading 4 books in the next 2 years!
Then, after running behind getting mom ready to watch the kids for the day, I got to work 5 minutes late to find my cube filled with balloons! My co-worker Angie (my gym buddy) had decorated my cube! It definitely brightened my morning! Then all day, everyone who walked by my cube knew it was my birthday! AND she went home over lunch to bake cupcakes! Thanks Angie! It made my day!
How sad were our birthdays pre-facebook! It's so fun to get birthday wishes from so many people! I feel kind of guilty receiving so many, because I am really bad about sending birthday messages on facebook!
Tonight we are going to go to Joy Wok Chinese Buffet for dinner! I can't wait! We've wanted to go there for a long time and haven't made it yet. It's supposed to be a classy Chinese Buffet...I heard they have good sushi, too! And I'm really looking forward to the cupcakes mom and Julie bought from Cold Stone! Mmmmm!
Oh...and I can't forget about Saturday night! We had 18 of our wonderful friends join us for dinner at Jalapeno's and then for drinks and karaoke at Freddy T's! It was a blast! Heath and I have such great friends and I'm so thankful that so many could make it out! I was very touched!
Two things I found today on the Internet that I loved...

Someday when we have more disposable income, I totally want to do some of these! Next week is National Random Acts of Kindness week!
