Catching up, Life Lately and Easter 2015

It's funny that I decided to come to the blog today to post, because it's been 6 months to the day since I last posted to announce the birth of our sweet baby Parker! So much life has happened since that post at the beginning of October. I'd love to back track and catch up and post about a few things like our trip to Disney World, birthdays and Christmas, but I can't make any promises.

Life is busy right now. I've always been busy, but I think this year takes the cake! I want to do a day in the life before this school year is over because it's such a crazy time. In fact, I'm writing this right now putting off some work that I need to do.

So, on to Easter! We had a beautiful day, and enjoyed the kids so much.
The festivities began after our soccer games on Saturday. We finally got around to coloring some eggs! I had intended to make some natural dyes, but who was I kidding?!?! No time for that! I let Madelyn pick out a kit for her and one for Brody. She chose glitter and monsters, but Brody could care less for decorating, so I put away the monster decorations for next year.

This Easter morning might be my favorite to date. The kids were genuinely excited about what they found in their baskets, and even Parker seemed excited to pull her new stuff out of her basket! It's like she knew just what to do!

Parker saw her basket and knew it was for her!

Madelyn cracked me up because everything she pulled out of her basket was exactly what she wanted! She's asked a lot of questions the past couple of days, and I was worried she was going to figure it out, but I'm pretty sure we still have a few years!

On Saturday night, Brody put a carrot in each of their baskets for the bunny. He said that he hoped the Easter Bunny would leave the ends of the carrots...so he did! Brody thought it was awesome.

Who needs chocolate...Brody will just eat carrots!

And this might be my favorite picture of Parker to date. We weren't paying attention for a minute and she found the Easter grass! Silly girl!

After baskets we ate egg casserole, cinnamon rolls and fruit. Then we got all dressed up and went to mass.

Since I had the kids all dressed up, I wanted to get some pictures of them! It was windy and a little chilly, so I didn't get too many really great pictures, but I got a few!

Later in the afternoon, Heath's parents, Christie, Nicholas and Garrett came over to have an Easter egg hunt since we were meeting a little later for dinner.

We went to Heath's aunt and uncle, Tammy and Greg's, house for dinner where we had another egg hunt and ate way too much!

So, considering it took me a whole week to get this blog post up, I can't guarantee when I'll have another post up, but I will someday!
