Time Travel: Christmas 2013 in pictures

I don't want to get by without posting a few pictures from Christmas last year! Ignore the fact that the grass is green, and the calendar reads April 22nd!

I was able to take a few vacation days before Christmas making it a nice 5 day weekend! The kids and I enjoyed doing some fun things to prepare for Christmas. It was nice to spread all the preparations out without being limited to the evenings and weekends.

Enjoy!

We celebrated with Julie & Billy the weekend before Christmas.

And we made a gingerbread house...

And baked cookies...

And ate Santa pancakes for Christmas Eve breakfast!

On Christmas Eve night, we went to Heath's mom and dad's for dinner and to exchange gifts. We forgot to get a picture of all of the kids, so we did it really quick before everyone headed out the door!

Then we left cookies and milk for Santa, and a carrot for the reindeer, of course!

And on Christmas morning, Santa did not disappoint! You may remember last year, he didn't bring exactly what they asked for. He isn't making that mistake again!

I wasn't going to do that much this year...famous last words!

These straws were a big hit!

Traditional family pic before Mass.

After mass we went to Heath's grandparents for lunch and gifts with them. Then, we got home and let the kids enjoy their new toys.

After work on the 26th, we had to take the tree down because we were heading to the lake the next day to celebrate with my parents. The kids were very upset! They even cried when Heath carried it out the door!

So, that weekend, we were spoiled even more! I think I learned those famous last words (not going overboard this year) from my mother.

We got my dad this framed map of the lake. He really likes it, and it looks great hanging on that wall right behind him!

It was really cold down there, so there were lots of books to be read...

And babies to be held!
