Cider Fest & Night of the Living Farm

Ok, back in the time travel machine again...the last weekend of September, the kids and I needed to give Heath some time to study, so I needed to find something for us to do. Every year when Cider Fest rolls around, I swear I'll never go again. It's crowded and besides the dozen or so craft booths that are the same every year, there isn't much to do that you can't do on a regular day. Basically all we do is go to get a Cider donut and Cider (slush or hot...depending on the weather). And that is something you can do any other day. But, we needed something cheap to do, and I knew Melody and Christie were going out there, so we decided to meet them. And this year was no different. TONS of people. To make the trip worthwhile, I let the kids do a couple of bounce houses. And, of course, they had a blast.

And we needed the obligatory photo by the pumpkins!

Then, just 2 weekends ago, we got the kids dressed up and went to Night of the Living Farm at Deanna Rose. I had a work event there that morning, and thought it all looked too cute to pass up, so we decided to go. It wasn't cheap, and I don't think that we'll go again. The kids just wanted to see the animals, but it was too dark to see them. And, since we can't eat any of the candy they passed out, I don't think we really got our money's worth. But at least they got to wear their costumes another time, right?
We ran into our little friend, Nolan dressed as Hulk!

Right after this photo was taken, Brody bopped this cow on the nose with his light saber and made him cry (he was pretending...I hope). It didn't take long for us to get out of there after that.
