Miranda Lambert!

Last week, I was sitting at the stoplight on my way to work when the free ticket sounder on the radio went off. I had my phone in my hand and decided, what the heck, I'll give it a shot. I called, got the busy signal and decided I'd try one more time. This time, the phone was ringing...I was the 14th caller! I couldn't believe I won tickets to Miranda Lambert! We just saw her last May, so we passed on buying tickets to this show, but that didn't mean we didn't want to go.

Heath's sister, cousin, niece and her friends were all going, so we tagged along with them. We booked a hotel room and made a night of it. We're so thankful for Heath's parents. We prepaid for the hotel room, so we sort of felt stuck. They kept the kids despite Madelyn being so sick. I was torn about whether we should even go or not, but they insisted that it was ok. It was hard to be away knowing she was sick. When I thought it was just a cold, I was ok with leaving her, but when it was confirmed that she had influenza, that changed things a little bit.

The KU game was on TV, so we were having a hard time finding a table, so we opted to eat Chipotle while listening to the pre-concert entertainment.

 Our seats weren't near as good as they were last time...But they were free, so we can't complain!

The concert wasn't near as good as the last one. I think our seats might have had something to do with it, but it was still a good show!
