Weekend Wrap Up

We had a really great weekend. It started with Friday night at Julie and Billy's for pizza and s'mores! Julie's friend, Aimee was in town with her girls, Piper is 3 weeks younger than Madelyn, and Willow is almost 1. They are adorable and it's so fun to let the kids play together.

Then on Saturday morning, I woke up at 5:45 am for some reason. I laid there for a while and tried to go back to sleep, but I soon realized I was up for the day. I got up and got my brownies going for the church picnic cake walk later that day. I got that done, a load of laundry folded, unloaded the dishwasher (and re-loaded it). At this time it was only 6:35, and I knew I could make it to the 7:00 Jazzercise class. I've taken an unintended month off, so I was glad I went. After that I had to run up to the Overland Park Fall Festival to drop off some stuff at our Mothers and More booth. Then it was home to take Madelyn to dance! She got moved to another class that includes tap due to low enrollment. She loves it all, and she did so great in the class. I'm really excited for her recital in the Spring. They even have one in the winter that I think we'll probably do, too!

Brody didn't have a soccer game this weekend, so after dance we went home and had lunch. Then I had to go work the Mothers and More booth from 12-2. When I got home I was finally able to relax for a little bit before heading up to mass and the parish picnic!

This picture is funny because Madelyn had a traumatic temporary tattoo experience this summer. She got ones that were super sticky and wouldn't come off for a month. They pulled her arm hairs, so she has decided to stay far away from temporary tattoos. The was holding her little hands so tight so I wouldn't put one on her!
Going to mass on Saturday might be my new favorite thing...we woke up on Sunday with the whole day ahead of us. It was really nice. Except Heath woke me up at 7:00 to ask if it was Monday. The kids didn't sleep much past that, so he's lucky. I made a big breakfast and then Heath and the kids worked in the yard while I folded clothes, washed sheets and dusted the house. Yay for a productive weekend!
