I thought I'd give a little update on Brody's soccer. Last Saturday, Brody scored his first goal! It was for the other team, but we were just thrilled that he made contact with the ball. It might have been the 3rd time all season. He's out there to have fun...and that's what it's all about, but he has a hard time staying in the game, watching the ball, etc. He just runs with the crowd, around the crowd, away from the crowd...the ball will be right in front of him and he won't notice. One time, it even rolled right through his legs. Oh well. Soccer may not be his thing. Or maybe it's too early to know. Either way, we love watching him! I put together the videos that I've taken this season. It's about 4 minutes long, so I don't expect anyone to watch it all the way, but if you do, enjoy!
They got their medals last week, so he has another to add to his collection. We'll try it again in the spring and hopefully we'll get on his school team.
It was really cold on Saturday, so aunt Julie brought Madelyn a hot chocolate from Starbucks! Lucky girl! Half of it spilled down the front of her a few minutes after this picture!
On Monday, Brody started flag football! I think that football may be more of his thing. He learned how to play center, quarterback, running back and how to pull the flags. We'll have 2 more practices and then they'll do 3 games. We might be signing Madelyn up for flag football next fall. She was really into it and copying everything they did. There were a few girls in the group!
