Officially a Soccer Mom!

As of Saturday, I am officially a soccer mom! Brody had his first "game" on Saturday. The league he's in meets once a week for a quick practice with an instructor from the Blue Valley Soccer Club and then we divide up and play 30 minute 3 on 3 games. Brody had a great time, and we had fun watching him, too...even if we did have to stand in the rain! It's obvious that Brody is not competitive or aggressive! I'm excited to see what he's like at the end of October after playing for 2 months. I think that part of it is his personality, and part of it is lack of experience. He was out there to have fun, which is what it's all about. He got a little goofy towards the end! I think having dad as a coach had an impact on the goofiness for sure.

Look at the tongue!

I realize his head is cut off in the above picture...it happened to be the ONLY time he actually had contact with the ball when it wasn't a kick off, throw in, corner kick, etc. I got it on film and wanted to share it!

And after the game, Grandpa took us out for ice cream!
