Thursday we headed to the beach! My mom had read a lot about a place called New Buffalo, so we decided to check it out. We considered not going because there was a heat index of 115! But we figured we'd just spend a couple of hours and then explore the town. It was HOT! I'm pretty sure I burned the soles of my feet walking on the sand. We forgot the 2 most important things...the umbrella and the kids watershoes! We had fun anyways...
After we had enough of the beach, we went to find some lunch. We read some reviews on our phones and decided on a place called David's Delicatessen. They are known for their Rubens, and they did not disappoint! Then we walked around to a few of the shops and ended up at a cute little ice cream place called Oinks.
After ice cream we headed back to grandma and grandpa's. More to come tomorrow!
