Morning Routine Checklist

Mornings have been a struggle for us ever since we started making Brody get ready on his own. A while back, his preschool teacher suggested we make a picture "schedule" for him to follow so that we weren't constantly nagging him to go potty, get dressed, etc. It was like pulling teeth to get him to do it on his own. Finally one day, I decided I was going to go ahead and make the schedules. I debated making one for Madelyn because she doesn't really have a problem in the mornings, but I made one anyways so that she felt included. Well, that sort of backfired...She doesn't really get it and is more interested in using the marker, by herself, of course, and if you get near her, she throws a tantrum. I'm hoping it gets better soon.

But, it's working like a charm for Brody. I hope it stays that way!

Here is the chart I made. I took pictures off the Internet and then laminated it so that they could check things off with their dry erase markers.

After they complete their checklist they will get to go downstairs and have some apple juice and (if there is time) cereal while watching Disney until Heath is ready to go.
