We had one of the most low-key holiday weekends that we've had in a while! We started the weekend by blowing up our inflatable pool on Saturday morning. Heath filled it with water so it would be nice a warm for the kids after naptime. Well...after a couple hours, we looked outside and noticed that the pool had deflated a little. So, we ran to walmart to get a bigger better pool to replace it. The kids didn't mind that the water didn't have time to warm up...they were just thrilled to be able to swim!
Then on Sunday, we packed up a lunch and hooked the wave runner up to the car and drove out to the lake near Christie's house for the day. Melody, Christie and the boys joined us for some beach and wave runner time.
Heath and I managed to get really sunburned. I will not go without sunscreen again! Why do I have to learn the same lesson every year? After we got home from the lake there was some more pool time and then off to bed.
On Monday, we enjoyed another lazy day. We got the laundry finished up, the playroom organized, and the rest of the house cleaned. On Monday evening I realized that I had only left the house twice in 3 days. It felt good to just relax. I also have been dealing with allergies and a cold, so it was nice to get a lot of rest. What really stinks is that our friends had their baby on Saturday and I have not been able to go see her yet! I'm hoping that this congestion goes away quickly so I can go hold that sweet baby!
