Last weekend

On Friday night, we attended our church's fish fry! It was the first time we'd gone in a few years. We met Julie and Billy up there. It was a lot of the fun and the food was delicious! I was never much a fish eater, and I am hesitant to order fish off of a menu (let alone try to cook it myself) but I was in love with the fried cod they had! So were the kids!!! Madelyn ate, and ate, and ate...I even took this picture of her with a view of the room cleared out to show that she was still eating when the party was shutting down.

I'll get to why it wasn't so funny after all in a minute. First a few more pictures...

The kids LOVE events in the church basement because they get to run around afterwards...it's so funny. All of the little kids just run around. They aren't playing any game, or doing anything in particular...just running. I like it because it wears them out!

Heath and I went to bed early on Friday night, which was good because we got an unexpected 2:00 am wake up call from Madelyn. Apparently she ate way too much and threw it all up in her crib! It was not a fun one to clean up, that's for sure. (Remember, we had FISH for dinner) So, next week, we will NOT go back to get her more, no matter how loud she screams for it.

Saturday morning was pretty productive! Madelyn slept in our room (on a towel on the floor in case she was really sick) and actually slept past 7:00! That NEVER happens! I was planning to go to the 7:00 Jazzercise class to get it out of the way, but when I looked at the clock and she was still asleep at 6:45, I wasn't going to do anything to disturb it! I got up and started cleaning our bathroom, bedroom and dusted and cleaned the floors downstairs. Then I headed to the 10:30 Jazzercise class. After naps we headed out to Hobby Lobby and Town Center to get a few things. The kids stayed with Heath's mom and dad that night because we had our friend Pat's 30th birthday! We enjoyed a kid-free dinner at Jalapeno's and got a few other errands done before heading to Coach's for the party.

Jen did a great job putting together the party for Pat! The theme was St. Patrick's Day and she made photo collages, blew up a picture of him, had decorations and a photo cake! My camera died, so I didn't get any pictures of the party :( Luckily, I was able to steal a few from Pat's Facebook page!

Then on Sunday we went to church and headed out to run a few errands after that. Then we went to the home and gardens show to get some ideas on our master bath and siding. I also wanted to check out some of the landscaping companies booths to see if I could get any good ideas for ours. I didn't get too many...they get way more into it for the home show than they do for the commercial stuff!

Heath ended up staying home sick with the stomach flu on Monday and Tuesday. He's feeling better and is back at work today. We have our fingers crossed that no body else catches it!
