When I used to go to Jazzercise, I would let myself sleep in, and that would become a habit. I could always justify my reason. Not this time around. My goal is to make it 6 days a week. I know I can do it...I'm only getting up 30 minutes earlier than I used to, so I really don't have an excuse.
I've been using my Garmin Forerunner to track my heart rate and calories. I'm burning over 500 calories in each class, which I think is going to be the best I will be able to do in any exercise. When I was working with the personal trainer, I would burn just over 300 calories in about 35 minutes of work, so I figured 500 for an hour is pretty good. I love that I'm getting cardio, strength and abs in during that hour, too.
Now what I need to focus on is my diet. The real trick is to log everything. And I know that because it worked for me in the past. I've used MyFitnessPal on and off for a few years, but never got in the habit of doing it every day. My goal for this week is to try to log everything and try to make a habit of it. When I did Weight Watchers and lost the 30 lbs before our wedding, I was religious about logging everything.
I'm hoping to report next Monday what I've lost a pound or two. I stepped on the scale this morning and nothing had changed since Wednesday.
