Too late for New Year's Resolutions?

I've been kind of lazy on making any resolutions this year. I thought about it a lot over the past 20 days. There are things I want to do like read more books, do more crafts, spend less money, lose a few pounds, redecorate a little...the list goes on and on. And there is a lot that I'm striving for...being more present, being more intentional, spending my time more wisely (both at home and at work), finding balance while sitting at a desk for 40 hours a week.

All of this is always present in my mind. Last year I made 3 resolutions...they are still a work in progress. I will say that I feel like everything has a place in the house. Now if those places are being utilized to their fullest potential is another question!  Our laundry continues to be an issue. I wish I could do a load a day, but that would require getting caught up in the first place...I think we might have gotten caught up on laundry one time in the past year! I feel a little differently about the third one now than I did at this time last year. As much as I would like to spend more time with the kids, I feel like over the year I did make an effort to make the time we do have with them quality time, so I'm happy about that. Also, I finally did the Once a Month Cooking like I said I was going to do...and I'm planning to do it again next month.

I guess if I had to give a word to this year it would be ENJOY. I don't plan to make any major changes this year. I want to commit myself to less and enjoy everything more. That's it! Life's too short to spend time doing things that you don't enjoy, so if I find that I'm doing something that I don't enjoy, I will not be afraid to stop doing it. So, I guess that's my resolution!

Last year on my birthday, I made a list of 30 things to do before I turned 30. I'm anxious to revisit that list over the next couple of weeks and set some goals for things that I really want to do this year. Stay tuned for that list!

Happy Friday!
