Christmas Day 2011

One last Christmas photo dump! After mass we swung by the house to grab our food and gifts and headed out to Dave and Melody's for Christmas Dinner. It was Melody's first year to host Christmas day! It was great for her to get so much use her Christmas dishes she's been collecting! Grandma and grandpa Mallicoat and Tammy, Greg, Andi and Katie also joined us.

Madelyn had to be the first to try on Andi and Katie's slipper boots...that girl loves her shoes!

I went to look for Madelyn and found her on Dave and Melody's bed, changing her baby's diaper! Such a good little mommy!

After we got home, Heath and the kids played a few games on Brody's new magnetic dart board before going to bed.

And Madelyn ate her new wooden food.

And Madelyn changed her baby's diaper again.

And she set her Pack 'n Play up next to her crib for her baby to sleep in.

We had a great Christmas this year, and are beyond blessed. Heath and I talked a little bit about cutting back considerably next year. The kids would have been happy with a lot less, and I think we're going to go that route next year. In fact, Brody asked Madelyn to open his last 2 gifts on Christmas morning. He'd had enough. Next year, we plan to increase our charitable gifts...our church offers a lot of opportunities to give, and I think we'll sponsor children close to Brody and Madelyn's ages. We did a little bit this year, but we could do more.

We actually have one more Christmas to go! My mom and dad are coming to visit on Tuesday and we'll celebrate with them. We're looking forward to their visit!
