We've had a funny couple of days with the kiddos...turns out Brody has been picking up a lot of lines from the movie, Tangled. He had me cracking up and I thought he was really coming up with this stuff on his own until he told me it was from the movie.
Brody spent the night at Julie's house during his Christmas vacation. When I picked him up after work he said, "I was so worried about you!" and gave me a big hug. I thought it was sweet and thought that he must have meant that he missed me. Turns out that's a line from Tangled.
I took Brody to see a movie on Monday morning and after it was over, he took off and ran to the front of the theater. I chased him down there and he stopped, faced the audience and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen. Thank you, thank you." He said it really loudly all while bowing with one arm folded in front and then the other out to the side. Then he switched arms and bowed again. I asked him where he learned that, and he said the King does it. I'm assuming the King in Tangled, but I'll have to watch it again to find out. I left the theater in tears I was laughing so hard!
Last night while I was washing dishes, Brody came up to me with one of Madelyn's purses and holds it straight out to show me and said, "It's a man bag. It holds all your things!" Again, he had me in tears. I only with Heath had been home to hear it! I'm pretty sure that one is in Tangled, but I'll have to watch it again to be sure.
Madelyn is pretty funny herself these days. I don't remember Brody being as sassy as she is at 22 months. Her newest word is "Why?" I'm pretty sure she knows what it means, too, because she puts her arms up and shrugs her shoulders every time she says it. And she says it at all the right times. The first time it came out was on Thursday night at dinner. She was blowing bubbles with her milk and I told her to stop. She said, "Why? Why mommy?" We were both unsure if we heard that right...turns out we did. Now every time she gets reprimanded she doesn't hesitate to ask why...
