Embrace the Camera: WOF Round 2

In addition to all of the reunion festivities over Labor Day weekend, we also went to Worlds of Fun with my company! We kept telling Brody we were going to go again (he practically has the radio jingle memorized), so when I found out it was that day, I knew we'd have to fit it in. We got there right when the gates opened and after a quick stop at the new Carousel, we were off to Planet Snoopy. Both Brody and Madelyn had a great time riding the rides. For the past 2 years that we've gone with our companies, we have been so impressed with the improvements made at Worlds of Fun. It used to smell like tar and sewage, but now it is very clean and there is no nasty odor anymore! The restrooms are clean, and the food is edible! There were many years that I wouldn't eat the food there. We can't wait until Brody gets a little taller so we can ride some of the bigger rides, like the Fury of the Nile!

Brody was thrilled to ride the bumper cars! One of his LeapFrog DVDs is set in an amusement park and the bumper cars have intrigued him.

I never knew that WOF had a Ferris Wheel. Once I realized it I wanted to ride it with Brody. I forgot how long it actually takes, though. We waited a long time for this one, and then the ride itself took a long time. Brody really enjoyed it. These kids are thrill seekers.

And we weren't even to the highway and they were both out. I love how they are both leaning to the same side with their mouths open.
