Easter Eve

We waited until the very last minute to dye our Easter eggs this year! On Saturday night, after we ran our errands and ate dinner, we gave Madelyn a bath and put her to bed and Brody and I colored our Easter eggs! We bought some glitter egg dye which didn't work so well. I think we're going to make some egg salad with our eggs. I took Madelyn to a baby shower with me on Saturday and she ate my whole egg salad sandwich! I couldn't believe it. She won't eat scrambled eggs, so I was surpised that she liked it.
Waiting for the colors do dissolve...trying to figure out what the heck we are doing!

Rainbow!

Showing Brody how to do it.

Brody's turn!

Brody with the finished products!
Brody has this Popeye look anytime the camera comes out these days.

While we were dying the Easter eggs, Brody and I were talking about the Easter bunny. Aunt Julie had taken him to see the new Easter movie, Hop, earlier that day, so he was full of new information about the Easter Bunny. I asked him what he thought the Easter bunny ate, and he said carrots! So, we decided that we would leave the Easter Bunny a carrot in his basket. In the morning he asked me where the carrot went! I told him that the Easter Bunny must have eaten it...he thought that was so cool! I think this is a tradition we'll keep :)
