Deanna Rose!

We are so lucky to have a place like Deanna Rose. We visited the farmstead for the first time this year on Saturday. We had been talking about it all week, so after Madelyn and Brody took a nap, we loaded up the wagon and some snacks and headed over there. We ended up purchasing a family pass for the season since we know that we will plan to go a lot. Along with the pass we also get some goat feed, pony rides and fishing poles! Great deal for $35! I think we'll definitely make our money back...especially since it costs our family $8 just to get through the door on the weekends now (it used to be free, and still is during the week).

Brody was thrilled to be there and remembered most of it from last year. Madelyn still has to warm up to it. She had a look on her face the whole time. I don't think she smiled once...she'll get used to it after a few visits, I'm sure!

In the schoolhouse you can draw a picture and put it up on display. Brody drew a picture, erased it and insisted on putting his blank slate on the board. The lady in there said it was modern art.

Ringing the cow bells!

Saying hello to the baby cows born in February! Maddy didn't want to get too close.

Milking the cow.

This is the look she had most of the trip.

A picture with them both looking at the camera! Victory!

Pony ride. He was so calm! I was kind of shocked! He's definitely growing up!

Another victory!

Madelyn and daddy playing on the playground!

Brody at the playground!

Watching the geese.

Brody getting ready to go down the slide. After this he went back up all by himself!

Daddy feeding the goats. Brody didn't want to do it, so we brought most of our feed home. Hopefully he'll warm up by the end of the summer! Once time when he was a baby, we were in the goat pen and a goat started to eat his shorts!
