Last weekend we took advantage of the nice weather to spruce up the landscaping a little bit. Two years ago, we saved up to have our landscaping professionally designed and installed. Heath's friend, Adam Higgins, works for his brother's landscaping company, so we hired them to come out and do the work. They did a great job, and we were so happy that we decided to hire professionals! Last year we didn't do much. Adding Madelyn to the family and my maternity leave didn't help the budget too much, so we just left it. The mulch still looked ok and we decided not to fertilize. This year, though, we are really taking care of it! We bought 2 yards of mulch, some topsoil and Heath just laid round 2 of his fertilizer regimen! So far, it is looking really good! I have to say that our curb appeal has drastically improved since we bought the house in 2006. Here is a reminder in case you forgot what it looked like...

| (I'll post an after as soon as I figure out what I'm going to do with my shepard's hook and hanging basket figured out) |
So far we've redone the driveway, the landscaping and painted the shudders! We will be re-siding and getting a new roof (fingers crossed that insurance covers most of it) sometime in the next year or so. I can't wait to see the before and afters then!
Brody went out to help daddy spread the mulch! Heath told him to look for worms. He found some, but he didn't want anything to do with touching them!
