Embrace the Camera: Brody's First Home Opener

For weeks Heath and I debated if we should buy tickets to the Royals home opener or not. We both really wanted to go, but we didn't want to spend the money. This morning he emailed me and said he really wanted to go, but he didn't have anyone to go with (I had a drs appt that I didn't want to cancel), so I told him to go with Brody. He went back and forth and finally after noon he decided to go ahead and purchase the tickets. He got them for $24 a piece! We almost paid $80 a ticket a week or so ago! I guess it pays to wait sometimes! They were in the first row in the outfield.
Heath called Lisa, the babysitter, and told her to wake Brody up because he was going to the Royal's game! He asked if he could have his snack before he left, so he ate a quick cereal bar and daddy came to get him! They headed home to get some warmer clothes and coats (and the camera) and they headed to the K!
They made it in time for the game to start and had a great time! I was a little jealous that I didn't get to go, but I'm so glad that Heath got to experience this with his son. He's such a great daddy! Those kiddos are so lucky :)

View from their seats!

Playing on the playground!

Can't go to a ballgame without getting a hot dog!

I almost thought I wouldn't participate in Embrace the Camera this week and then Heath pulled through for me! I told him to make sure he has someone take a picture of them...he did it!

I'm linking up with Emily this week and you should too! Congrats to Emily and her family...they welcomed sweet little Elsa home this week. They are an awesome family!
