Way back at the end of October, our baby boy turned 6! I can't believe it. He's getting so big. And he reads!
Brody got to celebrate his birthday 5 times this year! The first was with my mom when she was in town the week before his birthday. Then, we had his party at Blue Valley Rec. He wanted an Open Gym party, so that's what we did. He had almost the entire kindergarten class, plus a few friends from preschool. They double booked his party, which stunk, but worked out since they only made me pay half!
After the party, we invited the family to our house to have pizza and open his gifts.
Then, his actual birthday was on a Tuesday. I hung streamers outside his door for when he woke up.
Then, we let him open his gifts. We had a hard time getting him to tell us what he wanted. We took him to Toys R Us, and he settled on a remote control car. We also got him a Simba doll because he is sort of obsessed with the Lion King.
The birthday boy requested pancakes, so that's what we had.
Then, that night we went to Mi Ranchito for some tacos and "sweet balls". The fried ice cream was a good treat, too!
We love our Brody so much! It was so fun to celebrate his birthday!
