So for the sake of getting this blog up to date, this post is going to be light on words and heavy on pictures. Enjoy!
A few weeks back we went to the lake and it was pretty chilly, so we decided to take the kids to Branson for some mini golf. It was the first time for both of them. Brody was a natural and got a few in just 2 strokes! Madelyn on the other hand carried her ball into most of the holes.
Madelyn was so confused because the last hole was "broken"! The balls go through to the shack, and she didn't want to hit her ball into the last whole. 18 holes just wasn't enough, I guess!
Madelyn just finished up her summer dance class at Miller Marley. We went ahead and signed her up for the fall there, too. Their class time worked best and she seemed to enjoy their format. It was so fun to have her dance in this classroom for parent watch week. This is the same classroom that I took ballet classes in. It felt so funny being in there!
We went up to the hospital one last time before the babies were discharged. The kids actually got to see the babies yesterday! I didn't have my camera out, but I wish I did. It was sort of a last minute surprise that she was going to let them see them, so I didn't even think to grab it out of the car.
Last weekend at the lake we were supposed to have friends come, but everyone ended up having to cancel. So, it was just us. It worked out ok though because it was pretty rainy all weekend. We had a couple hours in the afternoon to swim, and then we grilled and made s'mores that evening. And a funny thing happened while we were down at the dock. A boat passed by and Brody yelled out to the people, "A boat and a cold beer!" We were crying we were laughing so hard. No idea where that came from. He must have heard someone say something like that...that kid cracks us up!
The babies came home that weekend so I hurried over to hold them when we got home on Sunday night! They are the sweetest!
