Julie's Shower

Well, now that the babies have been here for 2 weeks already, I think it's time I post about the shower I threw for Julie a month ago! I took inspiration for the theme from the nursery decor that Julie chose. I've also seen lots of fun gender reveal parties using the mustache and bow theme, and I thought it was perfect for our little man and little lady!

Here's the invite:

Midnight Messages: I saw this cute idea on a blog somewhere. We had guests write messages on newborn diapers to be used for the middle of the night diaper changes.

I had Leo & Lyla make some coordinating outfits for the babies that I could use as decor at the shower.

I made some diaper cakes to be used as decor for the shower. One for Macie...

And one for Max! I also made the bows so that they could be used as hairbows for Macie later.

We had custom cookies for the party favors. I've been using Jennie Byrnes lately for cookies for both work and personal. If you are in the market for cookies in Kansas City, she is amazing!

She packaged them all individually and everything. And oh my do they taste delicious! You know how sometimes things that look really good don't taste that great? Not the case here. These cookies are delicious!

And here's a view of the decor. I loved how it all turned out.

And here is the adorable cake that a friend made for us. I sent her the invite and told her to have at it. I am so please at how it turned out! And, I have to mention that this momma has 5 little boys...and she works! I don't know how she does it!

We did a brunch, so I made a strawberry spinach salad.

And here are the drinks...we had lemon water, lemonades from Trader Joe's, OJ and Mimosas!

Walmart had perfectly coordinating plates and napkins, so that part was easy!

And here's the rest of the food...2 egg bakes, and baked french toast with berries.

Here are the Midnight Messages! It was fun to read through them!

And the guest of  honor with her cake!

And the cookies!
There you have the details! I'll be back with guest and gifts post later! I didn't want to totally overload you with pictures!
