Moving on up!

When we were in Chicago over New Years, Madelyn slept in the twin bed without any issues. We weren't really in any hurry to get Madelyn out of her crib. She wasn't climbing out and although she's potty trained, she's not getting up at night to go. But, she's definitely growing up and is ready for right of passage that is the big girl bed.

We switched the beds out after church on Sunday. Brody got Heath's old full-size that we've had in the basement, and Madelyn too Brody's twin (which is actually our mini crib converted). It will work for a while. We'll plan to buy new bedroom furniture for everyone when we move into a bigger house.

I didn't take too many pictures...I need to paint Madelyn's room and get some stuff on the walls. I finally found the pillows that go with her bedding, so I'll post some pics once those are in. (Long story...I ordered her bedding and the throw pillows and the throw pillows weren't available and got cancelled. I've been searching online for them since October when I found out they were cancelled and haven't been able to find them. I happened to search yesterday and found them! They were more than double what I was going to pay for them the first time around, but they were the reason I liked the bedding, so I thought we had to have them, right?)

I think I am going to go with a lighter grey for the walls. The blackout curtains we bought as a place holder never matched her walls, but they actually do match the new bedding! I'm also planning to get some paper lantern things to hang above her bed.

Brody's paint color isn't perfect, but it will work. It's not different enough to justify painting the whole room.
