Decking the Halls

I LOVE having a real tree. I wanted to do the tree farm thing this year, but since I had to work the day after Thanksgiving, we decided to put it off until next year. So, to Home Depot we went!

After getting the tree, we went to Pizza Shoppe for dinner. While we were out, a little friend came back for a visit!

And he brought some new PJs!

We set the tree up and let it settled over night, then we pulled all the ornaments out and decorated the next morning.

I loved having my little helpers, but there was a lot of rearranging to do after they were done!

We went to the Christmas Warehouse Sale and bought a new angel this year. The other one I have is gold. It's from our wedding reception, and doesn't really go well with my colorful tree. I'm not crazy about the one I got, but it was only $10 and will do for now! When we were kids, putting the angel on the tree was a big deal, and we usually fought over who got to do it. Brody had no interest, and once Madelyn was up there, she wanted down. Maybe next year :)
