"Take me out to the ballgame!"

A few weeks ago, Groupon had Royals tickets for $10 for the Cardinals series, so we snagged 4. At the time, we had no idea it would be 104° in June! We went prepared with lots of water, peanuts and cracker jacks! Our seats were directly behind homeplate way up in the nosebleeds. Row MM, so very close to the top. It has been years since I've sat up there, but it wasn't really that bad. We were under the overhang, so it was shaded and there was a breeze. And you could see what was going on. When we're down on the field level I have a hard time following what's going on.

We stayed up in our seats until after the 3rd inning and then we went down to get the kids a snack and walk around. We ended up at the indoor Sheridan's to cool off a little in the AC with some frozen custard.

We stuck it out until the 7th inning and that was all we could handle. As we were walking out I said something about it being warm and Brody said, "No, mom. It's hot." So smart, that boy.

Brody was asleep before we left the parking lot. I think I learned my lesson about buying Royals tickets that far in advance...next time I'll watch the weather!
