Today is Brody's last day of his first year of preschool! The year has gone too fast! People always say, "just wait until they start school" and they couldn't be more right. It seems like just yesterday I was dropping him off for his first day.
I can't get over the comparison from him on his first day compared to today...
He has improved so much in his academics this year, too! I pulled out his progress report from October and compared it to the one they sent home last week, and he has improved so much in just a few short months! One of the big milestones he hit this year (thanks to school) is writing his name! Before he started this year, he was no where near forming letters, now he can recognizably write his name. We have a journal that they kept throughout the school year, and it was fun to see how his name progressed each month since August.
Also, we were so happy to learn that Brody's teachers will be moving to our home school where he will go for kindergarten! I'm so excited that he will be familiar with the school and will see lots of familiar faces when he starts kindergarten.
So, now it's time for summer break, which doesn't mean much when you're in preschool and your mom works full time...Brody will be at Lisa's full time with Madelyn through the summer. Aunt Julie will have some time off, so maybe she'll take them to do some fun things here and there.
