The personal trainer!

A few months ago, the owner of my company asked if I would be interested in helping out his personal trainer get her business going by giving her some marketing advice. I met with her, but she was still under a non-compete contract from her former employer and was kind of at a stand still. Last week she contacted me again to let me know she was ready to move forward with some of the plans we had made. As payment for my 'services' she is giving me personal training sessions! We met for the first time yesterday...I can't move today! I wasn't sure what to expect, but she gave me a total body workout right in my living room. She also set me up with a diet plan...yikes! No starches at dinner! That might be most difficult for me, especially since I had planned to make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner this week. And, she wants me to eat 20 grams of protein every 3 hours! Do you know how hard that is? I think I need to pick up some protein powder to make it a little easier.

My goals are to lose 20 lbs and 10% of my body fat. I'm still lingering at that magic number that I hope to never get over again. I'd love to get down 20lbs...a place I haven't been since high school!

I haven't been to the grocery store yet, so I'm kind of at the mercy of what I had in the pantry. For breakfast I had a slice of whole grain toast with 2 tbsp of peanut butter, and 1/2 cup of oatmeal made with 1 cup skim milk. I could not finish the oatmeal! It wasn't as good with out my raisins and brown sugar that I usually add...but I was also really full after eating the toast with peanut butter.

The workout plan is 30 minutes of cardio a day, 5-6 days a week and 30 minutes of strength training every other day. Sundays are going to be my day off...I just decided that because I cannot imagine trying to do anything physical today. Keeping Madelyn from running around the house with markers this morning was difficult enough!

Wish me luck! I figured I might as well take advantage of her expertise and willingness to help me meet my goals!
