This morning, Heath and I were talking about the kids' dentist appointments tomorrow morning, and he asked me if I was going to ask the dentist about her lip. He said that he noticed that her tooth was growing in crooked...I was confused because last I looked they were growing in straight (we can't see her teeth unless we lift her lip because of the attachment). Well, it turns out that her tooth isn't coming in crooked, she chipped it! We're not sure when it happened, but we have an idea. Sunday before our trip, I wasn't home and Heath told me that she had bumped her lip and it was bleeding. That's the only time that we have noticed her bump her mouth. It could have happened when she wasn't with us, but no one has said anything about her falling, so I doubt it.
Talk about feeling guilty! She's been walking around with a chipped tooth for I don't know how long and I just noticed it. I brush her teeth twice a day, and I never noticed it.
The good thing is, I don't think it bothers her. The bad thing is, she's going to be walking around with a chipped tooth for the next 5 years. I'm sure they don't fix chipped teeth on toddlers.
