On Saturday, we headed up to KCK to watch the T-Bones game! Julie bought Heath tickets for his birthday. Luckily, the severe weather stayed north of us. We were watching the radar pretty closely because there were severe storms with large hail and tornadoes reported just west of us on I-70!
We got up there a little early so we could walk around the Legends and find Heath some shoes (we've been looking for shoes for 2 months). He FINALLY found some that he liked at the Nike Outlet. PTL! Then, we decided to eat at a restaurant before going in to the game because it's easier than trying to feed the two of them in the seats at the stadium! We narrowed our dinner choices down to Panera, Five Guys and Chipotle...it was a very difficult decision, but in the end, Five Guys won! Yum. Brody had a hot dog (which they fried...) and Madelyn enjoyed grilled cheese.

| Fireworks after the game! I'm impressed with the fireworks setting on my camera! I think I will invest in a tripod before 4th of July because most of them were blurry, but this one turned out good! |
Then we came home and realized that our sheets were in the washer (it was 10:30)! So we put the kids to bed and watched some DVR'd shows while our sheets dried. It was sort of a blessing in disguise because we ended up being in the path of a storm that was producing tornadoes! Luckily, it also stayed north of us. We are getting really sick of this weather!
