Our poor lawn is dying and I couldn't keep the flowers on the South or West sides of the house alive. We have NO trees in our yard, so most of our lawn sees no shade. We don't want to spend the money to water everyday like our neighbor. His lawn is nice and green. At least Heath doesn't have to mow as often, I guess.
Enough about the weather...We are busy preparing for baby Mallicoat to arrive. We had a 3d ultrasound last week and attended our childbirth class on Saturday at the hospital. I go to my next appointment on Wednesday and then we'll go every 2 weeks from here until the last month. I guess that means we're almost there!
The 3D ultrasound was cool. I was kind of disappointed though. If we do it with baby 2, I think we'll wait until 30 weeks. Here are the pictures we got. You can get an idea of what he will look like. Grandma Schilf just thinks he's so cute. I think he looks like the Grinch, but I know he'll be adorable. I still think he'll have my nose, but only time will tell.

The childbirth class was very informative. I've been reading and learning about the whole thing from day one, so I really didn't learn anything new. Heath sure did learn a lot though. The instructor is a L & D nurse and she gave us the facts! I'm glad that we are now prepared for the reality of what it will be like. She was very blunt and let us know that it isn't the most glamourous experience, so I feel a little more prepared for what will happen to me after delivery.
My mom comes on Wednesday for my shower on Saturday. I'm pretty excited. I took the day off to take care of a dentist appointment, a doctor's appointement, to clean the house and to pick her up from the airport. Her visit will go quickly, especially since I will have to work on Thursday and Friday.
I'll try to post something everyday to keep everyone informed of what's going on with us from now until the baby comes and also after he comes, so we can share pictures. Have a good Monday and try to stay cool!
