The babies are here!

In case you haven't heard...the babies are here! And they are doing so great, and are as precious as can be. I'll let Julie get in to all the details of what happened, but the short story is, things started progressing over the holiday weekend, she didn't feel well Monday morning, called the doctor, he said come in right away, he saw her, sent her to the hospital and by 3:00 on Monday afternoon, Max and Macie were here! They are off oxygen and doing really well so far! She was 32 weeks, so they will probably stay in the nicu for 3 or 4 weeks, but that's yet to be determined for sure. Here are the pictures I have so far. I got to go into the nicu and snap a few pics, but the lighting made it hard to get really good ones. They had the lights off last evening, so I had to mess with the settings on the camera since I didn't want to use a flash. The pictures are a little fuzzy, but they are good enough.

Enjoy!

Last picture before becoming mom and dad! This picture doesn't convey the nerves they were feeling!

The stats!

The next few pictures were taken over lunch yesterday (7/9).

Then, we took the kids up to see Julie again last night.

These next few are from last night. They put a sweet bow in Macie's hair.

Max is under the lights for his billirubin levels, which is totally normal since the liver is usually one of the last things to develop. Macie will probably be spending some time in here, too.

Look at the fuzz on his back!

I'm planning to run up over lunch today. Can't wait! My mom is flying in on Saturday afternoon. She's working all week, but she'll be here all next week then she's coming back in August when they should be back home.

I'll be back to post more (and hopefully get caught up on the shower and the couple lake trips that are still not up here on the blog!)
