Brody's winter party!

Last August, I volunteered to bring the snack for the winter party at Brody's school! When I signed up I had all kinds of cute ideas of what to bring...until I discovered the STRICT approved foods list! I understand that a lot of kids have food allergies, and I respect the fact that they are looking out for that, but this list is very limiting, so I had to be extra creative!

I can't take credit for the idea (I found it on the Family Fun website). But I did change it up a little to make it work for me (and I thought the kids would appreciate fruit and raisins more than black olives, broccoli and celery!

Meet Frosty the Bagel:

They were super easy and the kids seemed to like them!
All you need is:
Mini Bagels
Plain Cream Cheese
Raisins
Baby Carrots
Strawberries
Grapes
Toothpicks

They took me about 20 minutes to put together! I think I'll volunteer and do them again next year. I also brought some Chips Ahoy Christmas cookies (from the approved list) because I know what 3/4/5 year olds really like...although my 4 year old threw his cookies away!

Not sure what is with this face, but I've captured it a lot lately...

Being silly!

Playing a snow ball game! I don't think I could ever volunteer to do the games...the other moms are so creative!

And we made a craft...he kept putting the stickers over his eyes...don't worry, I peeled them off :)
