Chicken-a-cago: Day 1

Despite the 10 and a half hours that it took to get there, we had a really great quick trip to Chicago (or Chicken-a-cago if you ask Brody). The mission for the trip was to get the wave runner from my parents. Unfortunately, my mom had to work while we were there, so we didn't get to spend a lot of time with her.

On Saturday we ventured out to Grandma and Charlie's lake for lunch and some beach time. It was so hot! I wish we could have stuck around longer, but it was just too much for the kids. I read the thermometer inside the trailer and it was 95 inside! Their generator wasn't working, so they couldn't get any air moving through and there was no wind outside. It had been a really long time since I had been there, and it is exactly as I remember it!
Their cute trailer:
 Jillian and Tyler's dog, Shatzi.
 Playing with bubbles.
 Swimming with Emily.
They had replaced the slide that used to be on the beach with a newer, safer one, but you have to pass a swim test to go down it. Luckily they had a little one that Brody could slide down!

Brody swimming with daddy. His swimming lessons sure are paying off! He's doing so great in the water!
 Staying hydrated!
Telling grandma that she wants to go down the slide!
Heath must be telling a really interesting story!
 Yum...grape pop!
 Grandma at the grill!
Brody hanging out with Robby and Emily!
